DATA PRACTICES

Privacy policy

Living Memory stores information only when you ask it to remember something or use a feature that clearly requires stored memory. Do not submit passwords, one-time codes, payment-card data, government identifiers, health records, or other highly sensitive data.

What we process

• Memory text, optional tags and importance, and vector embeddings used for retrieval.
• Search queries used to find relevant memories.
• Authentication identifiers and service metadata needed to isolate accounts and operate the service.

What leaves the server

Hosted memory text and search queries are sent to the Google Gemini embedding API. Handoff notes are not embedded. Memory content is not sold, used for advertising, or routinely read for analytics.

Retention and deletion

A free Room stays available while it is used and is eventually forgotten after an extended period of inactivity. A signed-in user can delete a World immediately from the website. Server backups expire within seven days; embedding-provider abuse-monitoring logs may remain for up to 55 days.

What the operator can see

Hosted memories are plain text on the server and are not encrypted at rest. The service operator can technically read them, but does not do so routinely. For material that cannot accept that boundary, use the local open-source server.

Terms of use

Use the hosted service lawfully and only with data you have the right to provide. Review recalled memory before relying on it and keep independent copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Subscriptions and billing

A World costs US$9 per month, billed monthly in advance through RevenueCat Web Billing with Stripe. It renews until cancelled. Cancelling stops billing at the end of the paid period; it does not delete the World.

Availability

The service is provided as available and may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued. Trial limits and expiry are part of the service, not a promise of permanent storage.

Where hosted data lives

Hosted data lives on DigitalOcean servers in Singapore. Text sent for embedding is processed by Google under its paid API terms and may leave that region.
